Books to kick off 2016

by Nisha · Jan 5, 2016

Every now and then, I have the same voices (Brené Brown calls these shame tapes) playing in my mind that ask me, “Why bother writing another post?”, “Who cares, really?” or the worst, “What do you know?”. Before I knew better, I’d cave into these voices and stay in my bubble of “too cool to create”. I am far from being that person today – I create for me. I don’t create to impress or get someone’s approval.

While approval or praise is not the end objective of my creative efforts, I love, love, love every “like”, every comment and every little bit of encouragement I get from people who read this little blog of mine. So naturally, I was over the moon when Lauren from The Sister Project blog who is also one of my favorite Yoga teachers asked me to write a guest post for her. She asked me to pick five self-help books that I’ve loved and would recommend to their readers in the new year.

Hello Nisha! I just listened to your interview with Eric Tivers. It was very delightful, and inspiring. And I love your laugh, it is a beautiful laugh and made me smile more than once! I’m part of the ADHD Rewired Facebook group. So, I’m sure our paths will cross there.
